Jazz History

Jazz music, including music that is foreign to most people.
Jazz is an American traditional music which its development began in the late 19th century and early 20th century in African American communities in the regions of South America. This music represents the meeting between European music and African music.


 Jazz word itself is derived from the language of "slang" U.S. west coast and was first used to describe this music in Chicago in 1915. Evolved since the early 20th century jazz has evolved into a variety of genres. From the ragtime era, initially, to bigbanddan swing era in 1930 and 1940, bebop in the mid-1940s, progress toward latin jazz, afro cuban and Brazilian kind in 1950 and 1960, rock or fusion jazz from the 1970s and recent developments such as acid jazz, world music, trip hop, cross over, etc ..
